Lesson Overview
1.2 – The Connection Between Thoughts, Feelings, and Behaviors: Your thoughts affect how you feel, and your feelings affect what you do. When a thought says “I can’t,” your mood drops and you might avoid trying. When a thought says “I’ll try,” your mood lifts and you take action. This loop can help or hurt you depending on the message you repeat. Learning to notice your thoughts gives you power to choose better ones. You don’t need perfect thoughts—just more helpful ones. Calm breathing and simple questions can slow racing thoughts. Kind self-talk can change the tone in your head. Small actions, like getting up and moving, can lift feelings too. When you change one part of the loop, the others begin to shift.
