Lesson Overview

9.6 – Managing Interruptions Respectfully: Interruptions happen, but how you handle them defines respect. If you accidentally interrupt, pause and let the other person continue. If someone interrupts you, stay calm and assertive. You can say, “I’d like to finish my thought first, please.” Avoid raising your voice or sounding defensive. Most interruptions come from excitement, not rudeness. Be patient and return to your point smoothly. In groups, remind everyone to speak one at a time. Respectful communication allows space for all ideas. Managing interruptions calmly shows self-control and maturity.
